Days 9-11: Students will be broken up into small groups of two to three students. They will then be given a list of topics from the chapter to choose from. Once they have choosen a topic they are to research that topic. Once they have found out all that they can they are to come up with one of the two following choices. Option one, they can make a powerpoint on that topic and present it to the class. Option two is to make a short video illustrating the concept and what they learned from it. Some examples of YouTube videos from other schools are given below these examples are also from a different chapter and are only to show what they need to do. Any additional time left over will be used for review and students will be given a short review worksheet daily as well.

    Design Integration Strategies
In order to meet the objectives of this unit there will be many different instructional methods used. Methods will include but are not limited to the following: Lecture and notes, videos, hands on discovery both with and without technology, self discovery, visual learning, and many other methods. For some of the work students will need to work in small groups and need to have some computer and graphing technology knowledge. We will need to review any of these areas that the students are struggling in.

Day 3:3-4: We will start the webquest that is listed below. This webquest will work as a review activity for the quiz and will take 2 days approxiamtly. It does require the use of Geometers sketchpad or it could be modified to use with the TI-Nspire calculator.

Day 4:6: We will begin by watching a video from Brightstorm and then going over the notes in our notetaking guides. We will then use the construction that is in our text book to find out why these different theories work. This lesson will be hands on at the end and will engage students in many different ways.

Day 7-8: We will review parallel and perpendicular lines in the coordinate plane. Students will explore the relationship between parallel and perpendicular lines using TI graphing technology. Will also review by using the following two YouTube videos on slope. We will also have some short notes on each day.

Day 1: Introduction to parallel lines and a transversal. We will go over the different angles formed by parallel lines and a transversal along with some definitions. We will finish off the day by watching a video from brightstorm.com on constructions which is linked below.

Day 2: Class will start by having students work on an opener where they will have to do a construction of a parallel line and a perpendicular line. We will start the lesson by doing the ti-nspire activity which is below. This activity will allow students to find the properties of parallel lines and a transveral on their own. This will allow students to get a better understanding and grasp on the idea. Students will go through the smartboard lesson which is attached below and then they will see the math warehouse site. Both of these are interactive notes that will help to keep them engaged in the lesson

Day 3: We will start with an opener in the form of a journal entry where students are to write down what they learned yesterday. They are to pretend that they are explaining to a sick friend what the lesson was and what was important. Then we will do the smart board review which is linked below and we will finish with a short quiz.
